We are a small rural school just 8km from Youghal. We pride ourselves on being friendly and open and giving children the best education possible.
We have been on this site since 1961 but in 2018 we built an extension and renovated the older section of the school, giving us a modern 21st century building . The help from the community at this time was amazing, and with the support of families, past pupils and neighbours we also built a car park to ensure that children can arrive at school safely each day.
With three classroom teachers, one full time and one part time special education teachers, and an SNA children in Kinsalebeg NS benefit from smaller classes and individual attention.
Our school grounds are large and at break time children can run, play and enjoy the freedom of open space. We are currently working on our school garden to provide an area for those who prefer a quieter environment. Our mission is to to educate our pupils to
All our staff have completed first Aid Training, and we have two adults on yard supervision at each break. If your child has specific medical needs we do our utmost to to facilitate your child's requirements. We discuss full details with parents where relevant.
The mental wellbeing of our students is a priority. We deliver a comprehensive SPHE programme in each classroom. We have a buddy bench in the school yard and are working on our school garden with the help of parents and students
We take part in the Cumman ns mBunscoil hurling and football each year. We avail of the training programmes provided by West Waterford GAA and welcome coaches to our school. Each year we compete in the West Waterford Athletics in Dungarvan. We also take part in the FAI soccer completions for schools.
Every two years we bring children to swimming lessons in Youghal. We are currently involved in a DEAR (Drop Everything and Run) programme where we will endeavour to run around Ireland, without leaving the school grounds! We also like to do something a little different each year such as Irish Dancing, Hip Hop or Gymnastics

While Kinsalebeg School is not our local school we found that for us it was the best choice. A smaller school with a low teacher pupil ratio worked well for my three!
